Herein, we report on the successful development of a ternary Ru-Rh-PdRu/TiO2 photocatalytic system for H2 and CO2 reduction. The most suitable ternary phase diagram was achieved by using the cubic crystallographic unit cell. For photocatalytic activity, Rh was successfully incorporated to the Ru-Rh-PdRu/TiO2 photocatalyst, without affecting its anatase structure. Our experimental results revealed that the ternary Ru-Rh-PdRu/TiO2 system exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity for both H2 and CO2 reduction among the Ru-Rh-PdRu/TiO2 catalysts, which is attributed to the synergistic effects of Ru, Rh, and Pd. The synergistic effects of these metals in the ternary Ru-Rh-PdRu/TiO2 system were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) nitrogen adsorption measurements..
